Hypothermia bag
The Hypothermia bag allows first responders to quickly package and transport injured/cold victims with or without full spinal immobilization and other splints. There are access ports on both sides to allow for chest, cardiac monitoring and medical intervention if required without removing patient from the bag. There are two other ports to access upper extremities for monitoring pulse, BP, skin texture and to initiate Warmed Intravenous lines. Full body access is available in seconds via a top mounted full length zipper. The patient's head remains fully accessible. The patient can be totally closed in during extreme climatic conditions. Fleece fabric located at the patient's head adds protection to bar skin around face. The Hypothermia bag is spaciously designed to handle a fully immobilized patient and if needed it will easily fit into a rescue basket for evacuation. Manufactured with Sampson and Cordur non-allergenic fabric, is designed for rugged conditions. There are three (3) carrying handles on each side plus one at each end. The Hypothermia bag comes in bright orange with reflective stripes for high visibility. There is one externally mounted pocket to hold small items. The Hypothermia bag can be dry cleaned.
